Seemann - Save Our Ships

course Game design term 5

Sea bear is a small java game. I intended it as a flash game for browser use, but flash was much to slow two years ago. Several month ago I came in touch with the Open GL library of Patrick Kochlik and Dennis Paul and decided to start a new run.
The target of the game is to move all ships, in a safe way, into the finish area. By throwing stones onto the water surface you have to create waves. You, as the player, are able to throw in each part of the map. But, more far away you throw... less you will hit the position of your desire. The diffusion rises by heighten the distance between you and your impact goal.
I hope to release a fully playable version soon.

callMe

course free project term 5

In coopertion with the Hans-Otto-Theater we designed and developed an interactive video installation for the play "mobil". Outside of the venue video projections of all four actors were displayed, visible for the visitors and the public. Those could call four mobile phone numbers, each for every performer, and listen to a short part of their play.
If the visitor stand infront of the projection, the illusion of the videoscreen talking to you via handset was perfect.

Klartext

client Klartext

Simple band site for some friends of mine. It's a combination of offical site and a blog for small talking and keeping the fans happy. In english the name of the band is "clear text". Because of they are making hip hop and putting a lot of effort in their lyrics, I decidet to put all navigation elements in a continuous text. They are specificly marked, but the user will notice that those text elements are parts of the lyrics.

Dategraph

course Information design term 3

With my small time machine, I found a solution how to display a large scale of time differences like in a usal "pice of cake" visualisation. By using this method you can display nearly every time ranges. It just depends on the depth (number of axes). From the left to the right, every dashed line symbolises a usal time unit (month, day, hour, minute and second). All units of a date are connected to each other to form a graph and in the next step a shape.

IBA STADT MONITOR

client Foundation Bauhaus Dessau

This project is my biggest one until now. My friends from infinity.lab and I started working for the Bauhaus Dessau in 2003 and keep on extending the system with features until 2010+. We designed and developde this web app for monitoring the urban renewal progress in the federal state Saxony-Anhalt, germany.
It manages map-input, abstract urban data and pure numbers for 18 cities, five regions and the state.
Just have a look, we set up an english version some days ago.
